Corporate Network Services Selected as Recipient of The Gazette of Politics and Business Second Annual Exceptional 53 Business Award

Bethesda Awards Ceremony Attracts Business Executives from across Maryland

Gaithersburg, Md.The Gazette of Politics and Business released its list of the 53 top businesses and organizations in the State of Maryland. The program, produced by The Gazette P&B, acknowledges the top 53 businesses and organizations in Maryland based on criteria that included the recipient company’s annual revenue and employee growth as well as noteworthy product or service innovations, community service efforts, how they have steered their way through the economic downturn, and how the companies portrayed themselves as “good places to work.”

The second annual awards ceremony, held Wed., Sept. 23, 2009 at the Doubletree Hotel in Bethesda, attracted a large crowd of appreciative attendees eager to celebrate the accomplishments of the top 53 companies. A keynote speech by Ed Henry, CNN’s Senior White House Correspondent, sponsored by Comcast Spotlight and Comcast Business Class, preceded a lavish dinner and networking activities at the hotel.

“I applaud these exceptional Maryland businesses that are consistently on the leading edge of innovation and doing their part to help through their pro-active community service programs. To make the 53 list is a great accomplishment,” said Cliff Chiet, publisher of The Gazette P&B. Corporate Network Services will be profiled in a special section as part of the Fri., Sept. 25, 2009 edition of The Gazette of Politics and Business.

Corporate Network Services was recognized for its exceptional growth during the last three years; its community service programs including numerous gifts of time and treasure to their Poolesville community, the Reginald Lourie Center, The American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Heritage Montgomery, Habitat for Humanity, The Ivymount School, WUMCO and Ft. Detrick’s “Operation Happy Holiday”; and innovation in its “MSP Accredited” PROSuite Support Centre and “Anvil Dataworks” Application Development group. Karen Kalantzis, CEO of Corporate Network Services, was extremely pleased to have been named 23rd on the list of 53 Exceptional Maryland companies at the event. “We are extremely honored to be included on the list among such fine company,” Karen Kalantzis, CEO said.
